Dallas, TX, September 3, 2024 – The Arts District Chorale is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $5,000 matching grant from the Communities Foundation of Texas and the Dallas Foundation as part of North Texas Giving Day, one of the region's largest annual fundraising events. This generous grant will match every donation dollar for dollar, up to $5,000, amplifying the impact of community contributions.
“We are thrilled and honored to have been selected for this grant, especially given the highly competitive field,” said Richard Gordon, Development Chair of the Arts District Chorale. “Out of over 250 submissions, we were one of only two organizations chosen. This matching grant is a wonderful way to kick off our fundraising efforts and will help us reach new heights during North Texas Giving Day.”
The grant opportunity was first identified by Becky Barnes, Director of Marketing for the Arts District Chorale, who alerted the Development Committee to the available application. With only a few days left before the deadline, the marketing team worked diligently to submit the proposal. Thanks to their teamwork and dedication, the application was successful, securing a crucial boost for the Chorale's annual fundraising goals.
Richard emphasized the significance of the award: “This grant not only highlights the hard work of our team but also reinforces the incredible support we receive from the community. With these funds, we can continue to elevate the artistic experiences we offer, enriching the cultural landscape of Dallas.”
